INSPIRED BY “MEDEA”
NATALIE KATSOU IS ORGANISING A SERIES OF WORKSHOPS
KINDLY SUPPORTED BY THEATRE LAB COMPANY
The devising steps from choosing everyday material to creating short scenes and from there, leading to a complete new piece.
Medea is a very rich and irresistible play; its subjects are most prominent and, perhaps, untouchable clichés; they will provide the structure for our work.
Through Active Textual and Contextual Analysis and Synthesis (ATCAS) we will be using material from the news and contemporary everyday life, classical texts, poetry and our own personal writing, creating our own studio performance.
Our tools for the improvisation techniques are movement and corporal expression, use of space and objects, as well as sound-scape.
All skills are welcome. ayone can join in as many workshops as they wish.
First presentation on the material that we will gather, is scheduled for 21/6.
